Ordinary Gerbil (Web, Genesis/Mega Drive)
A game for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive about an ordinary gerbil. No aberrations here.
Use arrow keys to move, and S, X, or Z to jump, but keys can also be rebound in the emulator.
This uses EmulatorJS to enable playing the game in the browser, but this is a real Genesis/Mega Drive game that plays on real hardware! You can download the ROM and give it a try in an emulator or even on the console if you have a flash cart. The game was made using SGDK.

Nice looking new Mega Drive game. I also added it to my new "Gameplay of New Mega Drive/Genesis Games from October 2023 to 2024" video along with all the other newly released Mega Drive/Genesis games.

Nope, I haven't heard of that. I hand-drew all the pictures and took pictures of them. Then I used Gimp to edit the graphics and Tiled for the level layout. SGDK then automatically converts image assets for the Genesis/Mega Drive when compiling. The game is written in C.
